Dr Sheraz Burki
Principal Dentist

GCertClinD (UniMelb), FICCDE, FICD, FWFO, FADI (USA).
Dr Burki is a passionate dentist with a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience. He has successfully helped hundreds of patients achieve a functional & beautiful smile. Dr Burki is competent in handling a wide variety of orthodontic problems with ease, using both braces and clear aligners. He is equally skilled in providing cosmetic rehabilitation by providing aesthetic veneers, crowns and bridges. Dr Burki has vast experience in managing patients with snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea with oral appliances. He is equally popular with children and adults due to his caring and friendly nature.
Dr Burki is currently registered as a Dentist in Australia and has been practicing as a registered Specialist Orthodontist in Pakistan for the last 20 years and he still maintains a specialist Orthodontic practice in Karachi. He has been granted a pathway to register as a specialist Orthodontist in Australia and is keenly following it.

Before moving to Australia in 2012, Dr Burki has served as the Dean Faculty of Dentistry, Chairman & Professor of Orthodontics at the Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi. Dr Burki was elected President of the Pakistan Association of Orthodontists in 2010. He has actively contributed in research and has published several scientific papers.
Dr Burki is an active member of the Australian Dental Association, Australian Prosthodontic Society, American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, Pakistan Association of Orthodontists, Academy of Dentistry International and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Dr Burki is married to his wife, Samina and is kept busy by their two children, Shayan and Eman. He is a sportsman and enjoys squash, badminton, tennis and golf. Whenever he finds time out of his busy routine, he loves to explore the world and stay active.

Principal Hygienist

Samina is our principal dental hygienist and practice manager. She always makes sure you have the best experience possible when you visit Lightsview Dental.
Before moving to Australia in 2012, she has practiced as a Dentist for over 10 years. She completed Advanced Diploma of Oral Health in 2016 and is a registered Dental Hygienist in Australia since then. She loves and enjoys working with people and building long term relationships.
Gingivitis and dental caries are the two most common dental conditions. However, the good news is that they are preventable. Regular visits to your dental hygienist and good oral hygiene practices are vital to the health of your teeth and gums.
Samina is passionate about educating her patients with innovative techniques to improve their oral health. She is a gentle and caring clinician. She can tailor treatment plans to best suit individual needs. She is committed to preventive dentistry and improving the comfort and wellbeing of her patients. Samina also has a particular interest in tooth whitening and loves helping her patients achieve their whitest and brightest smiles.
She loves travelling, cooking, and enjoys going to the gym. When you don’t find her in the office, she must be spending time with her family, watching TV and creating new memories.

Do I need an appointment to see the dentist?
We are open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
On Monday, Wednesday and Friday we have extended opening hours from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
We can offer emergency appointments after 5:00 PM and on Sundays on request.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, credit card, Zip Pay, and National Dental Plan. We also have a HICAPS terminal on-site so that you can make your insurance claim on the spot.
