INVISALIGN-

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a discrete and comfortable way to achieve a winning smile. Using 3D scanning technology and integrated software, a series of clear plastic aligner trays are fabricated to suit your mouth. The aligners gradually push your teeth into the correct position. Simply change the custom trays every 1 to 2 weeks as prescribed by your dentist.

Invisalign is suitable for a wide range of corrective issues from overbites to crowding to gaps. The trays are non-invasive and do not interfere with your daily life. They only need to be worn for a minimum of 22 hours per day and can be removed when you eat and brush and floss your teeth.

What Issues Can Braces and Invisalign Address?

Our experienced dentist will assess the condition of your mouth and jaw using the latest technology to determine whether you are a candidate for Invisalign or braces. Some of the issues we can correct include:

  • Gapped Teeth
This occurs when there is considerable space between at least two of your teeth, which could potentially lead to gum problems.
  • Crossbite
This can occur when the upper and lower jaws are both misaligned, which could potentially lead to tooth wear and tear.
  • Overbite
This occurs when the upper teeth bite over the lower teeth, which could potentially lead to painful jaw irritation.
  • Underbite
This occurs when the lower teeth protrude past the front teeth and can prevent normal function of your front teeth or molars.
  • Overcrowding
This occurs when there is simply a lack of room within your jaw for all your teeth to fit normally, which can lead to plaque accumulation.
  • Openbite
This is when your upper and lower teeth are unable to make physical contact when the jaws are closed, which could make chewing difficult.

Braces and Invisalign

What is Orthodontics?

Orthodontics is a field of dentistry that corrects and prevents teeth and jaw misalignment. We provide braces and Invisalign services to straighten your teeth for a healthier and more attractive smile.

Why Orthodontics?

Orthodontics is about more than just straightening your teeth for aesthetic purposes. Crooked teeth are more difficult to clean and create more places for food particles and debris to accumulate, out of your brush’s reach. This can lead to a build-up of bacteria and consequent tooth decay and gum disease.

If your bite is misaligned, your teeth won’t line up properly, impacting your ability to eat, sleep, and talk normally. This can lead to jaw pain and headaches, as well as teeth that are susceptible to breaking or chipping because of the uneven pressure you exert on them.

Orthodontics can make your teeth straighter, and consequently more attractive, but it can even change the shape of your face by properly aligning your bite.
