Get a Perfect Smile Fast with Cosmetic Veneers at Lightsview Dental
Dental veneers are a popular cosmetic alternative to orthodontic treatments and teeth whitening to help you achieve a straight, bright smile. Applying dental veneers is minimally invasive and can give you the smile of your dreams in 2 to 3 sessions.

What are Dental Veneers?
Dental veneers are a thin shell made out of porcelain or composite that is applied to the front of the affected tooth to disguise cosmetic flaws such as discolouration, chips, or gaps. They can also be used to cover signs of wear and tear or change the shape or size of your teeth.
Dental veneers are recommended for patients who do not have a history of teeth grinding or clenching, have teeth large enough to support the veneer structure, and have overall good oral health.
Our experienced dentist will take digital images of your mouth and check your teeth and gums for signs of decay or disease to determine if you are a candidate for cosmetic veneers.
What Types of Dental Veneers are Available?
At Lightsview Dental, we offer two common types of cosmetic veneers. Porcelain veneers are popular for the opalescent lustre that helps them blend in easily with your natural teeth. They are made from wafer-thin ceramic that is colour-matched to your teeth and fabricated off-site before being applied to your teeth.
Composite veneers are made from a tooth-coloured resin that is bonded directly to your teeth with a special bonding agent and light. This procedure can be completed in a single session, so you can go home with a brand-new smile the same day.
How are Cosmetic Veneers Applied?
Depending on the type of veneers you choose, it can take up to three sessions to create and fit your veneers.
Your dentist begins with an initial consultation to create a personalised treatment plan. Next, your teeth need to be prepared for the veneers. A small layer of enamel is ground from your teeth to accommodate the veneer, and the surface may be etched to allow the shell to bond more easily.
For composite veneers, the dentist will apply and set the resin in the same session, sculpting it to fit in seamlessly with your other teeth.
For porcelain veneers, the dentist will take impressions of your teeth and send them to an off-site lab to be fabricated. The porcelain veneers are fitted and bonded to your teeth at the next session.
